Tomato Salsa

This avocado and tomato salsa is a low fat snack recipe you can enjoy with low fat lebanese bread, or rice crackers. It serves 6, and it only contains 1.3 g of fat per serve. This is a very healthy dip… and creamy and delicious too.

I’ll tell you a secret… the special flavour in this low fat snack recipe is in the spices. Ground cumin puts a special taste to this deep.

Ingredients for tomato salsa:

  • 2 diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp crushed dried chilli
  • 1 medium sized avocado, diced
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin

This is what you do:

Blend the above ingredients in a blender for a creamy texture.

If you would like to taste some “crunchiness”, don’t blend the red onion.
